Is Cherai Beach safe for kids to swim and play in the sand?
"Cherai Beach is beautiful and has a long, flat shoreline which is excellent for building sandcastles and wading in the shallow edges. However, the undercurrents can sometimes be strong, so swimming deep is not recommended for children. I'd highly recommend staying close to the shore, always keeping an eye on kids, and visiting during the cooler evening hours when local vendors sell fresh coconut water and snacks. 🏖️🥥"
"To add to this, Cherai has some lovely beachfront shacks and resorts where you can sit and eat while keeping an eye on the children playing. The beach is relatively clean, but be aware that there are no public changing rooms or showers directly on the beach itself. If you plan to get wet, it's best to stay at one of the nearby day-use resorts or carry a change of clothes and a large towel. 🏖️🍴"
